Another solar year, and nothing

Happens here, we pass through the nadir

Another New Year's Eve, we try hard

To believe that this time we'll succeed

We're living on a prayer, we hope des

Pite the proof, the inconvenient truth

But hope is all there is, we play the 

Optimist, or sink in the abyss 

We think that we're alive, keep going

To survive, sleep, eat and pass the time

We're spinning round and round, we fill our

Days with sound, we're six feet underground

I'm waiting for the sun, to show it’s

Face again, I hate the cold and rain

I'm holding on to dreams, to pleasant

Memories, to parties in a field

Won't let it bring me down, what’s the al

Ternative? It's do or die you see

So focus on the path that brings you
